The Clinical and Epidemiological Investigation Center (CIEC) is organizing the 5th annual Clinical Research Day. During this “Special Anniversary Edition” we will celebrate the fifth anniversary of the creation of the CIEC.
The CIEC opened its doors within the CRP-Santé in September 2008 as the first Clinical Research Unit in Luxembourg.
Clinical research is an important matter for Luxembourg and competitiveness in this area is very important. In a few years the CRP-Santé has managed to develop expertise in clinical research and the value of the CIEC has been acknowledged beyond our borders. The CIEC is aiming to go beyond traditional Clinical Research and act as a “translational” research unit, with the objective to apply scientific discoveries made in the laboratory to the bedside.
In addition to its scientific value, Clinical Research is a privileged way to provide patient access to therapeutic innovation. For doctors it’s also a source of continuous medical education, with a positive impact on the care of patients.
This day will give the opportunity to review the achievements of the first five years of the CIEC and to address new ways for future developments in clinical research in Luxembourg.
