Anne-Marie Hanff, research nurse at the Clinical and Epidemiological Investigation Centre, was invited to write an article for the Luxembourgish magazine “Forum - für Politik, Gesellschaft und Kultur”.
With “Schwester! Ein Blick hinter die Kulissen der Pflege” she aims to clear up with common prejudges on healthcare professions. She presents what it really takes to be a nurse or a caregiver in a hospital and why whose jobs deserve more recognition. Care is a complex process. It is much more than just giving treatments, serving food and being kind to patients. It requires solid professional knowledge that is in continuous evolution by taking into account novel research findings.
