Promotion of Good Clinical Practice in research

One of the main objectives of the Clinical and Epidemiological Investigation Center in Luxembourg (CIEC) is to promote clinical research activities according to international standards of good clinical practice. As a center of reference in the field in Luxembourg, the CIEC organizes training to enable clinical investigators and their medical staff to meet these quality requirements.

This year, for the first time in Luxembourg, the CIEC offered a one day training in "Good Clinical Practice" in the form of an interactive GCP-Workshop for experienced researchers and investigators.

This training was specially designed by the CIEC and the European Forum for Good Clinical Practice (EFGCP) to meet the specific needs of investigators in Luxembourg.

After successful completion of a test at the end of the day, the participants obtained a certificate that documents their knowledge of GCP.

This first Luxembourg-based certified training in GCP was accessible without fees for clinical research investigators and their staff.

All the participants assisted the presentations of Mrs Ingrid Klingmann (EFGCP) and Mrs Anna Chioti (CIEC, CRP-Santé), were very pleased by the quality of this event and successfully passed the final test.
