Covid-19 study project helplines
During the pandemic crisis, several studies (Con-Vince, PrediCovid) as well as large scale testing on Covid-19 were initiated.
Specific Helplines were put in place to guide the participants through the different projects.
In the Con-Vince project, participants could call the helpline to obtain further information about their participation and appointments to the sampling labs.
Concerning the Predicovid study, potential participants were contacted upon their prior consent in order to present the study, explaining the informed consent process, the study related visits and required sampling.
The helplines were coordinated by the CIEC assistants Tania and Maura.
An additional helpline was put in place for the Large Scale Testing offering assistance for people to register in case they did not have internet access. But many participants also called to obtain further information on the program and their participation. In the first weeks, the hotline received more than 3000 calls per day mobilizing many volunteer staff from CIEC, DoPH and LIH.
